Classes Lowdown at KIDZ#1
Here at KIDZ#1 we pride ourselves on our variety of classes and activities we have to offer to all of our guests; whatever ability and interest! If you’re child is wanting to start dance, drama, chess, art or even just fancies a singalong, then they will find it here. With a new year, it’s a great time to try something new, improve on skills and grow in confidence. So what do we have to offer? Read on for lowdown of our classes at KIDZ#1.
Dance
Do you have a child that is constantly tapping their feet to the radio? Then our dance classes may be just the perfect activity! KIDZ#1 provides inspiring dance classes ready to welcome any child and ability into the world of dance and movement, so if you are a complete beginner or have danced before, there is a class for you. Taught by Megan Metts, Megan’s dance training began at the age of three and in 2015, she took over as principal and creative director of a growing dance school in the heart of Ealing Broadway. From little footsteps classes, ballet and tap dance, you will explore the exciting world of music and the love of dance.
Baby Sensory
Our baby sensory classes are the perfect stepping stone for your little ones. The classes are taught by mum of two, Anjali Mahtani, who has been working with children in London and Morocco. Each session is carefully designed to stimulate your child’s senses, physical development, creativity and much more. It’s also great for interactive play between parent and child. Classes range from ages 0-9 months, 10-18 months and 19 months and older.
Chess Academy
With the incredible success of the popular Netflix programme, The Queen’s Gambit, chess is now proving popular amongst all ages. At KIDZ#1 we offer chess clubs and tournaments that are taught by Mr Sainbayer, whose family founded the UK Chess Academy. Choose from beginner, intermediate and advanced levels and learn all about endgame techniques, tactics, notation, openings and much more to help you get that all important checkmate.
Maths Academy
If your child is needing a help hand with maths or they simply love to find solutions to maths problems, then our maths academy is perfect for them. Taught by Aamna Zafar, there is a maths class for all ages. From learning how to count, subtract, fractions, divisions and more, your child will be encouraged to explore logical reasoning and mental rigor, that will help them in a variety of academic subjects.
Drama
Does your child dream of having their name in lights? Then our drama classes are great for budding performers or simply children wanting to gain confidence in a safe, fun and lively setting. The classes are taught by profession actress Lani Calvert, who has teaching experience in England and oversees. Our 0-4 year old classes will explore themes through song, dance, story-telling and puppetry with the aim of encouraging your little ones to learn and create. Our 5-12 year old class is designed as a fun introduction to the world of theatres, where you will explore characters, improvisation and you will even get to show your parents a small performance at the end of term!
Arts & Crafts
Arts & Crafts are a great way to explore imagination and creativity. Be as messy as you want in our art class, where you will get to bring your creative skills to life through different creative mediums.
Science Academy
Unleash your inner Einstein and create huge bangs in our science classes. Taught by scientist Shanjida Ahad, she can’t wait to explore the quirky sides of science with your children, especially when performing crazy experiments in the lab! With a variety of age ranges from baby, toddler and junior, you will get to learn how to make elephant toothpaste, grow water beads, make fizzy lemonade and much more.
Music & Baby Singalong
Explore the wonderful magic of music with our teacher Ella Williams. Warm up your vocal chords, play the drums, learn character voices and learn how to perform. These classes are all about nurturing a child's love of music and singing and they will bloom in confidence!
