Recently launched AtaLoss wins People Choice Award
AtaLoss.org struck big at the Premier Digital Awards last week, winning a People’s Choice Award for their website for the bereaved.
The award is particularly important as it is voted for by the public. The AtaLoss.org website was launched in April 2017 and this award shows how much the charity is already being recognised by the public as a leader in its sector, as well as for the quality of their site.
Kevin Bennett, Chief Operations Officer at Premier, said:
“The awards programme was established in 2007 to encourage more Christians to become actively involved in the digital arena and to turn the spotlight on those who’d already managed to give a Christian flavour to internet communications. The world has changed beyond our imagination in the last 10 years, and this year’s winners are worthy examples of organisations which have kept pace with these developments.”
AtaLoss.org is a charitable movement of people across the UK who are passionate about enabling the bereaved to receive the support that they so desperately need. Their website is a one stop shop which signposts the bereaved across the UK to appropriate and local support.
Although simple in style it has a sophisticated search facility which refines by age and type of bereavement from an extensive database of support organisations and where accuracy is ensured by the organisations offering their own information. Although the site was only launched in April several hundred charities and other support services are already working with AtaLoss.org in this way.
